Today San Francisco indie duo The Dodos have shared a new track - their second one-off release of 2019 - "The Atlantic". Explaining the meaning behind their latest single, singer and guitarist Meric Long shared –
Following the release of March's "The Surface," which captured the band returning to their frenetic acoustic folk pop roots, "The Atlantic" explores The Dodos' signature trademarks without treading water. With acoustic fingerpicking, softly layered synthesizers, and Logan Kroeber's pounding drums, it builds like waves in the ocean, rising with a beautiful sense of tension before culminating in a calming halt. The Atlantic is available digitally via Polyvinyl.
