With roughly one week left till Chris Farren releases his Exceptionally Good™ new album Born Hot, the always-online artist has officially gone off the grid. In his new video for "Love Theme From "Born Hot"" – directed by professional skateboarder Kevin “Spanky” Long – Farren throws his laptop and phone in the trash, deciding once and for all to embrace his inner Paris & Nicole and live A Simpler Life.

The combination of Chris making a video with a professional skateboarder may seem a bit left-field, but the two have actually been friends for years and find a lot of mutual inspiration in one another ––

“I wanted to see Chris on a ranch doing rancher things,” Long explains. “Now we just gotta figure out what to do with the extra 8 hours of footage.”

“I’ve been such a fan of Kevin’s visual art since I met him a few years ago. He has such a unique style and voice in his art and it’s really exciting to watch and learn from him,” Chris says. “Also, a lot of people don’t know this but I taught him how to skateboard and all of his cool tricks were actually all my ideas.”

Self-recorded in his own L.A. home, Born Hot finds Farren putting his inventive spin on classic power-pop, with flashes of folk, punk, and even ‘50s doo-wop. Get 'em while the getting's good: limited edition Early Bird vinyl on 180-Gram Red/Yellow Mix are shipping now. Few remain!
