Stoned to Death presents a new edition of Xiu Xiu's cult classic Women as Lovers. Originally released on vinyl and cd in 2008, this is its first edition on vinyl ever since. Named after the Elfriede Jelinek novel, this album contains 14 slabs of tortured avant pop at its best, including a cover of Queen and David Bowie's single “Under Pressure."

Women as Lovers was recorded with the legendary line up of Jamie Stewart, Caralee McElroy, Ches Smith and Devin Hoff, mixed and co-produced by the band's old time friend and collaborator, Greg Saunier (of Deerhoof).
