We’ve done a few remixes and I think it’s a fun way to do a limited creative project. We wanted to do the remix process a little different this time around and decided it would be cool to have the entire album done and in order. It’s full of artists we’ve been fans of and respect a ton and they all did really interesting work.

It’s a bit intimate to share the raw files with people and see what they do with it, but also exciting, especially when someone deconstructs it to the point where it’s almost unrecognizable. Xiu Xiu is always great at that and Chrome Sparks did a great job of using our basic elements to write a completely different song.

This is the first time we’ve ever done something like this and we think it came out great. We were very lucky to get so many artists that we love to do it. Feels like an honor to have had them work on our songs in this way. Very excited on how it all came out!
