A Scuttled Bender in a Watery Closet is a celebration of the seven years, 13 releases, experimentation, and insanity known as Pele. Known for its blistering national and international live performances, Pele announced its 2004 tour would be its last.

Since then, the core members have been playing as Collections of Colonies of Bees. Pele left behind a legacy of work that was often limited edition, always hard to find, and highly collectible. A Scuttled Bender in a Watery Closet collects that work.

The project was over a year in the making and includes:

• over 2 hours of previously hard-to-find music from nine different labels in the U.S. and Japan.
• the entirety of the Pele rare, LP and B-side catalog (1998-2004).
• all the personnel ever to play with Pele.
