Mates of State's European booking agent, Torkel Skogman, formed a label and the Mates European Tour 2003 EP marks its second release.

The EP includes a different version of "The Open Book" than the one which appears on Team Boo, the Jackson Browne penned "These Days" which appears on the Dear Nora split 7", a live piano version of "A Duel Will Settle This" recorded at Cafe du Nord 8/25/02, and a live version of "Clean Out" recorded 3/14/02 in Linkoping, Sweden.
