Ben Eisenberger, an Omaha singer-songwriter trained in classical guitar at the University of Nebraska is known for sparse and delicate folk. However, the songs on his upcoming sophomore release benefit from layers of instrumentation: lap steel, choral accompaniments and strings. The sound is full and brings to mind classic country from the likes of Glen Campbell.
Eisenberger is a busy man, who can adapt his talents to a range of genres; he plays in indie-rock band Hussies, punk outfit Fifi NoNo and experimental, improvisation ensemble group Screaming Plastic. But when he performs solo, it is all about American roots music with country and folk flavours.
