Katy Goodman & Greta Morgan’s charming new video for “Ever Fallen in Love” (Buzzcocks) made its debut on The AV Club this morning! The track is taken from the pair's collaborative covers record Take It, It's Yours.

Here’s what writer David Anthony had to say about the song: “Where the Buzzcocks made a bad romantic pairing a cause worth shouting about, Goodman and Morgan emphasize the song’s heartbreak, bringing it to the forefront with a gently plucked guitar and some shimmering vocal harmonies. “

The video was directed by Morgan, who had this to say about the cover:

“The sonic landscape of this cover feels to me like a moonlit haunted garden, so we filmed the video in my backyard in pitch black night. The flowers are a metaphor for the subject of the song: they are all night blooms which open in the beginning of the video and then close toward the end to symbolize the opening and closing of a person’s heart in a relationship that’s ended.

As for the recording, I recorded vocals and guitar in one take, then Katy overdubbed her chorus harmonies, bringing the song to life in a magical way. We added some vibraphone and guitar through the echoplex and then it was finished. This is my favorite track on the covers record.”
