We're VERY excited to announce Japanese multi-instrumentalist Shugo Tokumaru's new album TOSS.

NPR premiered the first single "Lita-Ruta," a track they call "...a bright and twinkly creature that evolves ceaselessly..." Hear it below!

For TOSS, Tokumaru enlisted the help of musicians from around the world (including Deerhoof's Greg Saunier, members of his live band, an orchestra, Maya Denki, and others) to record bits and pieces of music without knowing how they would ultimately be used.

Though much more time-consuming than his original vision, the songs on TOSS are all testaments to Tokumaru’s innate understanding of how to craft a piece of music that becomes much greater than the sum of its parts.
