We know you've all been waiting a long time for this one (and trust us... we've been thinking about this for over a year now), but the day has finally arrived! The American Football Deluxe Reissue will be released 5/20/2014 and is officially available for pre-order RIGHT NOW! The album will be available on 2xLP (green/yellow "early bird" edition vinyl limited to 2,000 with large format booklet), 2xCD (includes 24-page booklet), cassette (white tape), and digital formats.

American Football released their self-titled debut album in 1999, played a few shows, then disbanded to focus on other projects (Owen, The Geese, etc...). That little 9-song album went on to influence thousands and has remained one our most popular albums (even still to this day).

Over a year ago, we got a package from guitarist Steve Holmes which included 7 cassettes full of old demos, boom box practice sessions, and other gems that had been forgotten about. Safe to say, we kinda flipped out!

Since then, the band has curated an album's worth of these rare live recordings, demos, and practice sessions (in which the group rehearsed material they never recorded elsewhere) to complement the original record. Check out one of these tracks above.

American Football is now being re-issued with beautifully expanded packaging that incorporates new photographs from Chris Strong along with lyrics, detailed liner notes written by the band, and never-before-seen band pictures.
