Picking up where our hero last left us… Ryan Silva aka Plato III shares his new single, “I Want (Money),” functioning as a sequel to the lavish lifestyle of last month’s disco thump, “Good Problems.”
Based on his own game show experiences, the new track's music video (directed by fashion photographer and video artist Lenne Chai) sees Plato's daydreams turn into a channel surfing nightmare, evoking the imaginative spirit of Michel Gondry in a meditation on accepting life under the thumb of capitalism.
"I decided I wanted money. You see the people with a lot of it and it seems like they should share. Even still, the pursuit takes a personal toll that I’m not sure is worth the consequences. This one is about me trying to find the happy medium between 'Money is the root of all evil' and 'Money is the measurement of one’s value to society,' I lean closer to the former." – Plato III
