Pitchfork announced the release of a new Xiu Xiu 7" titled Daphny. The title track, "Daphny" charts the real-life nightmare experienced by a friend of Xiu Xiu singer Jamie Stewart, who --following an arrest for shoplifting -- was raped by an officer while in police custody. The B Side of the 7" is a cover of Rihanna's "Only Girl (In the World)." The 7", pressed on light blue vinyl, will be limited to 1000 copies and is available for pre-order through the Polyvinyl store. You can pick it up as part of a package deal that comes with a new Xiu Xiu T-Shirt as well.
