of Montreal has released another whimsically zany music video, this time employing stop motion animation for their song "Last Rites at the Jane Hotel." Premiering today over at The Creator's Project, the video took several months for director Matthew Cooper to piece together.

“I animated everything in 2D first, and then all those things were cut out of wood and then hand-painted,” explains Cooper.

Cooper was one of the main animators on of Montreal's "Id Engager" music video.
