DeerBazan, the newest addition to Deerhoof's ongoing 7" series, has just been announced and is up for pre-order now. The 7" features the amazingly talented David Bazan contributing new lyrics and vocals over Deerhoof's song "No One Asked to Dance" on the A-side, while the B-side features a live version of the Headphones song "Gas and Matches."
DeerBazan's album art was created by Christopher Kennedy, who won a contest curated by both artists, with over 300 submissions! The 7" will be available on clear blue vinyl (limited to 2000 copies) + instant MP3, so you'll get both tracks instantly at checkout.
In addition to the new 7", Deerhoof's 4th album, Reveille, will be reissued to 180-gram light blue vinyl on Jan. 17th. The reissue will feature a different song sequence than the original pressing (released in 2002 and long out of print on vinyl).
And because we love you all so very much, our mailorder dept. set up a few package deals containing the DeerBazan 7", Reveille reissue, and our Japanese benefit compilation Japan 3.11.11 (released earlier this year). So if you want to get everything at once, you can! Follow the link below to check everything out.
