The title for Owen's latest single – "On With The Show" – might land with a bit of irony considering the world's current state of paralysis, but its lyrical allusions to resignedly trudging through life should find universal appeal with anyone who currently feels at a loss. "On With The Show" follows lead single "A New Muse," which was recently showcased in a one take performance filmed at the top of the Willis (Sears) Tower's Chicago Skydeck, isolated from the rest of humanity 1,353 feet above the city below.

The Avalanche arrives June 19th. Recorded with producer Sean Carey and engineer Zach Hanson, these are the most straightforward and unguarded Mike Kinsella songs to date. Easily the most intense Owen album, The Avalanche goes deeper than ever before, with self-reflection so painfully blunt it's sometimes difficult to look at head on.
