La Sera Signs To Polyvinyl // New Album - Music For Listening to Music To - Out 2016
We are incredibly excited to announce that La Sera has joined the Polyvinyl family! The band’s new album, Music For Listening to Music To, will be released early next year.
The album was produced by Ryan Adams and recorded at his Pax-Am studios in Los Angeles. Rolling Stone caught up with Adams and the band to discuss how the album came to fruition, as well as how it lead to the creation of Adams’ Taylor Swift covers album, 1989, through a simple text from Jenny Lewis.
"It's just really fortunate. The greatest thing I can say is we finished that La Sera record and I'm like 'This record is classic.' I'm so proud of it," says Adams. "But if it wasn't for that record, the 1989 record would have never happened, and then all of these new friends that I've made that are a huge part of my life wouldn't have happened. At the end of the day, I have to send Jenny Lewis a big thank-you card, like a cake or something. She started it, so thanks to her."
Check out La Sera’s new teaser video above to hear a bit of one of the new songs, “I Need An Angel,” and stay tuned for more.
