Jay Som's "Pirouette" is featured on Pitchfork's brand new weekly playlist 'What's Good'
Pitchfork has launched a new weekly playlist curated by Pitchfork founder and Editor-in-Chief Ryan Schreiber. What's Good will include "highlights from new releases across all genres, including emerging artists, deeper album cuts, and more." Queen of the world, Jay Som, is making an appearance right out the gate with the addition of her latest release, "Pirouette."
Check out the playlist below (before it gets updated on Tuesday), which includes the likes of Shopping, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and Yo La Tengo, available on both Spotify and Apple Music now.
"Pirouette" is taken from Jay Som's forthcoming 7" of the same name, out this Friday, 1/26. Pitchfork shared the track previously, calling it "cut from the same lovely cloth" as Everybody Works, "sharing its sweeping instrumentals and confessional tone; Duterte might feel like she’s spinning out of control, but from an outsider’s perspective, her every step is filled with grace."
