After releasing Sparklace in 2008, the very talented Cale Parks (Aloha, White Williams) is already back with a new EP titled To Swift Mars. With influences ranging from the overlapping arpeggios of Philip Glass to the post-prog pop of Peter Gabriel, To Swift Mars has all the right ingredients for a superb, hard-to-put-down pop record. Recorded at Inner Ear studios by fellow Aloha member T.J. Lipple and mixed by Brian Jacobs of Apes and Androids, Parks' latest batch of songs breaks the usual assumption of what a percussionist's solo project might sound like.
Parks will embark on a nation-wide tour this summer opening up for Passion Pit and Harlem Shakes. Check out the dates below.
